Obituary of Wesley E. Losli

Wes Losli, 92, was called to heaven on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 after spending the day surrounded by his family. Wes, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, neighbor and friend was loved by many who surrounded him throughout his life and in his last days. Wesley E. Losli was born on December 4, 1929 at their family home in Hillsboro, Oregon. His parents Ernest Losli and Mabel Wilson Losli raised him and his siblings on the farm where they lived with his Uncle Rudy’s family. Wes and his brother would milk the cows on the family farm and then run a milk route collecting milk from the local farmers and delivering all the way into the dairy in Portland. He was always proud of their “Grade A” milk. Wes married the love of his life, Chris Johnson Losli on May 31, 1952, enjoying 67 years happily married. They had three children, Jonathon born in 1954; followed by Lorraine in 1956; and Joy in 1964. Wes worked as a printer for the Hillsboro Argus for over 40 years, he retired at age of 62. He also worked at the Birdseye Cannery, and Railroad Express. Wes and Chris loved spending time together bike riding, taking trips to the Oregon coast, traveling the world on cruises, craft bazaars, and spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Wes’s personal hobbies included polishing rocks, woodworking, and gardening. He took great pride in maintaining his own yard until he passed. Wes was survived by his sister Ruth Gould, his children Jonathon Losli in Astoria, Lorraine and David Ferguson in Hillsboro, and Joy and Maurice Scratcher in Hillsboro; and 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
