Although he wasn’t a big talker, Joe exuded an aura of intelligence, grace, caring and spirituality that everyone could feel.  He was proud of his strength and independence, and he hated how cancer made him weak and needy.  He finally succumbed to it on Oct. 3rd – too soon.  Joe was a ceramicist, and there were unfinished sculptures in his little studio space.  There was also the lawn to be mowed, garden to be tended, birds to feed.  But God called…

Joe leaves behind his lifemate Areanne Lloyd, his son Michael Green, his sister Dot Fleming, and his niece and nephew, Amanda and Dave, and several cousins.  He also leaves the many friends who admired his skill and stamina, and his talent as a videographer and editor, as well as his willingness to quietly go out of his way to fulfill someone’s stated desire or need.

He was loved.  Hopefully, he knows that now.
