Obituary of Frederick Siems Page

Frederick Siems Page “Fred” passed away December 23, 2018 at the age of 77 surrounded in the love of his family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Lori Page Kenworthy (Michael) and Christine Page Haufe (James); grandchildren Anthony Minnillo (Kirsten), Jake Minnillo, Silas Haufe (Andrea), Dana Haufe, Abigail Haufe, Madeline Kenworthy, Logan Kenworthy, Samuel Kenworthy; and great-grandchildren Eden Haufe, Vivian Duffey, and Mia Minnillo. He is also survived by his brother Myron Page (Maria) and his sister Elsa Page.

Fred’s job as a forester with the US Forest Service provided his family the opportunity to live and make friends in several small towns (and a few larger towns) throughout the Pacific Northwest. He had a great love for the outdoors that he shared with his family. He could often be found in a canoe or on a hike, camping trip or other adventure with a camera around his neck. He also had a life-long interest in trains and particularly enjoyed creating scale trains and logging camps from the early days of PNW logging. Fred had a passion for learning about PNW history and enjoyed discovering treasures of the past. Fred's sense of humor, desire to help others, kindness, and ready smile endeared him to family and friends alike.

A memorial service for Fred will be held at 2:00 pm on January 5, 2019, at the Cedar Hills United Church of Christ in Beaverton. In lieu of flowers, his family encourages donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
