Obituary of Norma Jean Degman

Norma Jean Degman, beloved wife, mom, aunt, sister, grandma, great grandma and friend passed away unexpectedly February 6th 2019.

Norma was born in Turlock, California on November 4, 1940. She is survived by her husband Ken and six of the most energetic, loving, exuberant children and their spouses, an endless number of grand kids and great grand kids who are equally as energetic, loving and exuberant as their parents.

Norma met her wonderful husband Ken in Hillsboro, Oregon and they married on April 14, 1962. Together they raised six children.

Norma was known for her unquestionable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, love of family and commitment to everyone in her life. She and Ken traveled the world, but Norma enjoyed spending time with her family the most. Everyone who came to Ken and Norma’s home were greeted as welcomed, important and loved. Norma had an easy smile and laughed from the heart. She always had a kind word to share and time to give. She impacted so many lives and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Norma’s memorial service will be held on February 13th with viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 and service beginning at 1:00.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Scholl’s Community Church on Saturday, February 23rd 2019.
