Obituary of Betty Osredkar

Betty May Osredkar of Lancaster, OH and Hillsboro, OR passed away on December 19th 2019. On August 4th 1941, Betty May Fry was born to Forrest Fry and Anna E. Binder in Forest Grove, OR. She was preceded in death by both her parents, sisters Rosalie and Lavern. When Betty graduated from high school she and her friend Barbara Loegle decided to attend beauty school together. Upon graduating she worked at many places in the Hillsboro, OR area, but eventually opened up her own salon called Shearers Haircare. She poured many hours and much love into the still existing salon, now owned by friend Edna Carr. Betty had a huge heart, loved unconditionally and forgave easily. Where ever she went she always knew everybody’s name and was always quick to help people around her. She welcomed every single person she met into her life, heart and family. Her smile and laughter could easily bring the mood up and make everyone feel a little lighter and a little more loved, because she truly loved everyone. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by Lawrence Osredkar; siblings Donald Helms of Hillsboro, OR and Evelyn Horsley of McMinnville, OR; Daughters Amberlie Carriker (Daniel Carriker)of Lancaster, OH , Theresa Monteverdi of Vancouver, WA , and Eden Roberts of Hillsboro, OR. Grandchildren Lena Monteverdi( Roseanne Monteverdi), Jennifer Monteverdi, Jakob Monteverdi, Wendy Wiley-Ratliff (Amanda Wiley-Ratliff), Bruce Wiley (Sam East), Dezarae Murphy, Don Hardcastle (Christie Hagdon) and Cain Adams. Great Grandchildren Patrick Melzo , Alaina Melzo, Anthony Monteverdi, Kamryn Balch, Gracey Wiley- Ratliff, Ahna Wiley, Sage Carriker, Izzabella Murphy, Gregory Murphy, and Charlotte Hardcastle Services were held at Valley Memorial Park in Hillsboro, OR.
