Obituary of Dominador Cadelina Sr.

Dominador “Ador” Cadelina Sr was born on September 2, 1946 in Lasam, Philippines. Our beloved Father, Husband, and Grandfather passed away on May 22, 2020 after a long journey with heart disease, he died at home surrounded by his family. Born to his late parents Calixto Cadelina and Floserfida Uddifa, he was the first of 11 children. On December 1, 1965 he married his love Remelie, whom he spent the rest of his life with. Together they had five children, Dante, Dominador Jr., Rosanna, Glenn, and Ahmed. Hoping he would make his family’s life better, Ador went to Saudi Arabia in 1980-1982 to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Ador was best known for his selflessness and dedication to the happiness of others, particularly his family. He served as a Barangay Captain for 11 years in his hometown in the Philippines, during this time he had many accomplishments including helping to establish a school. The people ADORed him, they saw him as a kind-hearted and hardworking leader. He treated everybody equally no matter where they came from. Towards the last year of his service in 2002, he suffered a stroke which caused him to step down from being a Barangay Captain. Ador and Remelie migrated to the USA in 2003. They spent two years in Las Vegas and a year in Alaska until finally moving to Oregon in 2007. Ador and Remelie have 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was an amazing grandfather who was always present at his grandchildren’s special occasions. He loved spending time with his family, he also loved eating, watching boxing replays, and singing his favorite song “Paper Roses.” His dream had always been for his family to stay together. His family will remember him as the patient, happy, and loving Father, Husband, and Grandfather that he was. We will miss seeing his sweet smile, hugs, and kisses.
