Obituary of Helen Eileen Schuman (Powell)

Helen was born 12/23/1922 and peacefully passed away 4/20/2021 She loved to love people and always found the best in everyone and everything. She was a devout Christian and loved the church and people at Banks Community United Methodist and her many friends in Banks, Oregon. She loved her Children, her Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. She loved to watch golf on TV and was always rooting for her favorite player Tiger Woods to win. She also loved to watch Horse Racing on TV and always watched the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes always hoping to get a Triple Crown winner each year. She got to see two of those recently in her later life. She really loved horses! She really enjoyed company at her apartment and time just to visit. She made friends just about everywhere she went. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Marguerite Powell, by husband Folden Cecil Schuman (Chet). She is survived by son, William Woods (Bill) and wife Carole Woods, preceded in death by son Robert Woods (Bob), preceded in death by son Gary Woods and survived by his wife Leah Woods, preceded in death by son Charles Woods (Chucky) and survived by son Paul Woods and wife Luanne Woods and preceded in death by daughter Victoria Norris (Woods). Also preceded in death by her only little sister, Virginia Dickens (Powell). Helen's grandchildren were Wendy, Angie, Tommie, Julie (they had a special bond) Gary, Brenda, Jason, and Tanya. She had many great grandchildren. Helen was a very, very special person!
