Obituary of Joan Mary Hutchison

Joan Mary Hutchison was a caring wife, aunt, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 27, 2022, at age 83. She was born to John and Lena VanDomelen on September 27, 1938, in North Plains, Oregon. After graduating from high school, Joan chased her dreams to work outside the family farm and joined Mattel to become one of their top assistants. Joan married her childhood sweetheart Arnold Hutchison while picking berries and was married on September 3, 1960. Joan loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her husband, friends, and family. Summer gardening was her favorite. She always had a positive outlook on life and always reminded everyone to be nice. “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Valley Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
