Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Kluempke

Cheryl Lynn (Crispe) Kluempke, beloved wife, mother, “Me-ma”, daughter, sister, and friend to many, passed unexpectedly on March 28, 2022, at age 56. Born October 23, 1965, in Beaverton, OR, Cheryl grew up in the community and graduated from Beaverton HS in 1983, where she met her husband Scott. Cheryl attended Oregon State University after high school and graduated in 1987. She and Scott married in May of 1990. After college, Cheryl began her 32-year insurance career, but her true joy was her family. She was passionate about her kids and loved getting to know all of their friends. Everyone was welcome at Cheryl’s house, and it quickly became the neighborhood hangout. Summers were filled with slip-n-slides, Otter Pops, and a pantry full of treats for all the neighborhood kids to enjoy. When not entertaining the neighborhood, she could be found tending her garden, blasting country music, watching scary movies, or befriending any dog that happened to wander by. Her most recent joy was caring for her granddaughter, Avery. Cheryl was a fierce defender of those she loved and always held true to her beliefs. Her tenacity and perseverance through the darkest of storms inspired many in her community, most notably her battle against an unknown infection that spread throughout her body in 2019. She faced this challenge with grace and fortitude, never failing to surprise the medical community with her fierce determination. Cheryl is survived by her husband Scott, her parents Jerry and Patty Crispe, son Tyler (Lindsey), daughter Jenna, granddaughter Avery, and sister Jill Fischer (Mike). Services will be held at Beaverton Foursquare Church on April 11, at 11am in the West Building with Celebration of Life to follow.
