Obituary of Burton Milford Batchelder

Burton Milford Batchelder, 90. Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend passed away at home in Aloha OR June 4th, 2017. He was born on June 9th, 1926, in Princeton MA to father Albert Clifford Batchelder and mother Florence Olive Batchelder. He is survived by his wife Violet D. Batchelder, son Burton D. Batchelder and his wife Marilyn Batchelder, daughter’s Patricia C. Crawford and Bobbie Jo Miller and her husband Mike Miller. Burt and Vi have many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Burt never met a stranger and leaves behind many friends and loved ones. He is proceeded in death by his daughters Ramone J. Tetrick and Cindy Carroll who are caring for the butterflies of God’s garden. Burton Batchelder was in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 in World War II and came out an Electrician Mate 3rd class. He worked in the oil fields in CA, installed dial systems for telephones in Kansas, worked in the Mines for a year and helped build a church in ID. Burt found his home in Oregon where he worked in the woods for a short time and Tektronics where he stayed for 17 years. He became part owner of a lamp business and moved on to Stone and Fox home builders. The last place he worked was Parks Electronics in Aloha where he retired. During his time of employment he returned to school to become a Baptist Minister where he later preached at Central Baptist Church in Forest Grove. He leaves us with these words “With Christ in your heart your very being will be built on the rock of God in Christ not on the drifting sands of this world”. His love and guidance will be missed by all.
