Obituary of Ralph Douglas Mooney

Ralph Douglas Mooney was born an only child to Ray and Alta Mooney on December 31st, 1930, in Compton, CA. He graduated from Compton High School at 18 and joined the Navy. At 21 he lost half a lung to melanoma lung cancer. He moved to Oregon in the 60's. In 1970 he met and married Delores Estelle. It was a beautiful love story. He passed away on Valentine's Day and is now in Heaven for eternity with the love of his life. He leaves behind BELOVED children, Barbara and Ted Harrison, Robert, Carolyn and Mary Melquist and Helen and John Wuckowitsch. He was preceded in death by daughter and son Beth and Fred Walters and by his beloved wife of 40 years, Delores. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Rob and Amy Melquist, (Jordan and Joshua.)Angela and Brandonn Richmond (Abigail, Josiah, Mahaleah, Naomi, Sarah, Brendan and unborn great granddaughter Judah), Androtti and Kimberly Harrison, (Cheyenne and Dakota) He spent his last years in an Adult Care Home and going out to eat as often as he could. Ralph never knew a stranger. He would stop and help anyone that needed help. He often gave the last dollar he had to anyone who needed it. He truly shared the Gospel with the way he lived his life.
