Obituary of Kim Ellen Owen

Kim Owen, 57, passed peacefully the 18th of February, 2017, at her home in Hillsboro, Oregon, surrounded by her family and friends. Her ashes will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Kim was born on the 10th of August, 1959, in Elmhurst, Illinois; she was the 3rd of 4 children born to Ron and Connie Vojta. Kim married Wade Owen on the 14th of February, 1992, in Houston, Texas, and moved to Oregon in 1994 with their daughter, Kelly. Kim worked for a beautifully supportive company, Granbury Restaurant Solutions, for over 10 years. Kim was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith and Kevin Vojta. Kim is survived by her husband, Wade; their daughter, Kelly Saccheri and grandchildren Allie and Shaun; her parents, Ron and Connie Vojta; her sister, Karen Cheatham; her sweet pets: Sebastian, Keisha, Cleo, and many fishies; and all her life-long friends. Kim’s family and friends unanimously tribute her as having, “the smile that lit up the world and enlightened us all.” In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Knots of Love at knotsoflove.org. This foundation makes the knitted hats that Kim so dearly loved and wore. They donate the hats to Cancer patients around the country . Service Information
