Obituary of Maria Florencia Villanueva Lopez

Florencia Villanueva Lopez, 66, of Cornelius who died Saturday June 11, 2016 in her home by the side of her beloved family. Mrs. Villanueva Lopez was born March 14, 1950 in Rancho Seco, Michoacan, Mexico, the daughter of Agustin Villanueva and Bibiana Lopez Ortiz. She was raised in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. She married Teobaldo Lopez Garcia in May 1967 In Cuitzeo, Michoacán, Mexico they immigrated to the United States in 1976. She was employed for 22 years as a farmworker, and for the passed 18 years she was employed by Maryville Nursing Home where she enjoyed her job as a housekeeper. She enjoyed gardening, having family gatherings with her children & grandchildren, watching soccer and going to the casino. Her sister and father preceded her in death. She survived by her husband of 49 years; Teobaldo Lopez Garcia of the family home in Cornelius: her daughter Maribel Lopez Escalante (42) of Cornelius married with 4 children; her sons Martin Lopez(46) with 3 children, Gil Lopez (44) married with 3 children & Juan Lopez (39) married with 2 children all of Cornelius; her brothers, Francisco, Jose Ines, Serafín, Leopoldo, Magdaleno and Esteban all of Cornelius; twelve grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Valley Memorial Park and Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements. Service Information
